We create stories in your heads all the time. When something doesn’t go the way we thought it would, our brains fill in holes whether or not we have all the facts. We project our emotions and assumptions onto others. We try to control what we simply cannot.
In today’s episode, I’m talking about why these stories that we make up are rooted in our own emotions and not based in reality. I’m sharing why it’s important to put these stories in the past, to focus on only what we can control, and moving forward on your own terms.
It’s time to stop dredging up the pain of stories that you’ve created in your head and making assumptions about the actions of others. Your story has helped get you where you are today, but it doesn’t define you.
When you stop infusing stories with pain and anger and fear, you can start living your life with the excitement, love, and creativity that exists inside of you.
What’s in this episode:
Why we create stories on our heads when things don’t go how we thought they would
